Other Taekwon-do Web Sites
If you use a search engine such as Google,
you will come across dozens of Taekwon-do home pages. Most of these are
simply posters for specific schools throughout the world and provide very
little detailed information about Taekwon-do. If you want to view these,
click on the underlined Google above and type in "Taekwon-do", or "martial
arts" if you want to explore Web Sites for all martial arts.
There are, however, a few highly informative
Web Sites for Traditional Taekwon-do, such as these:

An organization similar
to ours, primarily based in the Seattle area. Mr. Johnson's first
instructor, 6th Dan Joe Gates, teaches at the Edmonds school.
The
School of Traditional Taekwon-Do
Based in Washington County,
these schools are also very similar to ours. They are headed by 6th
Dan Michael Hansen, who was Mr. Johnson's second and most influential instructor.

This
very comprehensive Web Site shows just how international Taekwon-do has
become. Based in Munich, Karl Steinberger has built this page in both German
and English. It covers the first few Taekwon-do patterns, basic stretching
and warm-up exercises and the objectives of taekwon-do. Also links to a
Women's Self-Defense home page, as well as to other martial arts information.
Pacific
Association of Women Martial Artists
An association of women
from all styles of martial arts, it will be holding a conference in Olympia,
WA in August.
