The O'Loughlin Family
Three black belts, one brown belt, one purple belt

"We have seen so many changes in all of the kids it is an amazing thing to watch. It is also nice to have friendships with kids all over the city that have their sport in common but all different backgrounds. Whenever they have problems at school I tell them how nice it is to have their taekwon-do friends as well to get away from some of those growing up pains and just be themselves around kids who accept them for themselves."(Read More)

Vance Perry
2nd degree black belt
"I have a busy job with a lot going on. To be able to put all that out of my mind to concentrate on Taekwon-do  is a means of stress relief better than any other I have found." (Read More)

Ron Milligan
1st degree black belt
"Taekwon-do is a way for me to help keep the weight off as I get older, and it is a way that I find is much more engaging than going to the gym or running.  I find that it’s easier for me to come to class regularly because the challenges are always different and every class is unique.  Also, at the end of each benchmark in Taekwon-do, I have a new valuable skills and abilities, which I don’t get with spending weeks on the elliptical trainer or running." Irina Alonso
1st degree black belt
"I've been at Traditional Taekwon-do for over five years and I got to say it's great. Mr.Johnson is a cool instructor and he's funny. He's a really good teacher, as well as a mentor. You learn a lot, and you actually apply what you learn, through demonstrations and sparring. I'm a teenager, so for me having a sport that allows me to be myself and learn is cool. It's a great place to grow, you not only develop your skills, but you also grow as a person and the lessons that you learn can be applied to everyday life. Honestly, you feel as though you have a second family there."

Rockne and Morgan Helms
Purple belts
“After 2 years of taking Taekwon-do here with my son I can easily say there isn’t enough space to adequately talk about the benefits we’ve both gotten.  It’s been more than a great bonding experience, and more than physical exercise and more than acquiring valuable defensive skills.  It transcends all of those and all I could write about it.  For my son it’s been building confidence without arrogance and having a purpose behind his effort that stimulates his growth. It’s being surrounded by a diverse group of people that work together to achieve something within themselves that reaches beyond themselves.  It’s been fun and rewarding and hopefully it’s just begun.  I’d certainly like to see my son make this an integral part of his life because it certainly become so in mine.” -- Rockne Helms

Bonnie Martin
Blue belt

"The biggest benefit so far has been the realization that I can do taekwondo. During the first month that I attended classes I had some big doubts about whether I was "athletic enough" or "cut out for" something like taekwondo. Again, the fact that perseverance is one ofthe tenets helped me tremendously because it showed me that I wasn't expected to get everything right the first time, and that I was encouraged to keep trying." Evan Davenport
1st degree black belt
"Evan has derived great confidence in himself, and has synthesized Tae Kwon Do discipline into his daily life. He now has great physical self-esteem, is perhaps one of the strongest distance runners in his age group in a large school, and has
been extremely confident in moving from an elementary school that he
attended for five years to a new junior high school in which he knew
virtually no one." -- Gary Davenport, Evan's father. (Read More).
